Karanai sits just off OMR, close to Thalambur and Semmacheri, in the stretch of south Chennai that has grown up around the IT corridor without sitting directly on it. Casagrand has built three separate projects here, each aimed at a different buyer: Aspires, a compact single-tower community starting at ₹50 lakh; Elinor, a larger 548-unit development in the ₹65 lakh to ₹88 lakh range; and Laurels, an elevated villa tower aimed at buyers who want a villa-style home without a large private plot.
The area's biggest recent change is the arrival of Chennai Metro construction: both Siruseri and Semmacheri are listed as metro stations a short drive from Casagrand Laurels, part of the under-construction Corridor 3 (Purple Line) that runs along OMR. No service has opened on this stretch yet, so treat it as work in progress rather than a completed amenity.
